Latest dogs looking for homes....

Timmy

Timmy is a 5 month old Working Cocker Spaniel who is looking for a new home because his elderly owner felt she was unable to cope with a lively young spaniel. Timmy is a very friendly and sociable pup who gets along well with everyone he meets, including children of all ages, although he would be too bouncy to live with small children.

He knows basic commands, is toilet trained and can be left alone for a few hours without problems. A clever boy who is eager to please and enjoys his training which his new owners will need to continue, including teaching him manners. He travels well in the car, enjoys his daily off lead walks in the park and playing with other dogs.

Timmy is lively, playful and inquisitive but becomes gentle and soppy when receiving cuddles. A sweet natured boy who has so much love to give. He is looking for an active family who will spend plenty of quality time with him, someone to shower him with love and attention and take him for long, daily off-lead walks in the park. A home where he will be treated as part of the family and included in their every day activities.

His new owners will have owned active breed-types before and will be prepared to keep him both physically and mentally stimulated. A joyful and happy dog with a tail that never stops wagging.

Timmy is looking for a perfect new home, a home where he will be loved and cherished for the rest of his life.

Bill

Bill is a Staffordshire Bull Terrier male aged approximately 2 years old. He is very bouncy, lovely affectionate boy. He was picked up as a stray and never claimed. He urgently needs your help as he has a limited time to find a new home. Can you offer him a loving home and a place in your heart?

He can be rehomed with older children, but would prefer to be in a home without cats. He would prefer to be an only dog.

Kizzy

Kizzy is a gorgeous 4 year Neapolitan Mastiff female who has had a terrible run of luck. She was originally from a home with 10 dogs and was given to rescue because one of the other dogs took a dislike to her. She was then rehomed to a family who ignored all of our advice on how to settle her in and she became terrified of them. Instead of giving her a chance, listening to our advice and helping her they dumped her back on rescue within a few days!

She then developed a serious internal infection and nearly died but luckily the foster carers who took her in are loving, patient people who have nursed her back to health and they adore her. With all of the troubles she has been through she needs a loving, patient home with people who are experienced with Mastiff types. She has been no trouble at all with her foster carers and we desperately want to see her in a good home as soon as possible.

Harley

Harley is a 6 month old black Labrador cross Springer Spaniel male. Unfortunately, a family allergy means Harley is still looking for his forever home. Harley is a sweet natured, loving boy. He is able to live with children 6+ and is good with other dogs.

He is fully vaccinated, wormed and deflead. He will need to be neutered when old enough to form part of the adoption agreement and evidence provided to us.

Hughie

Hughie is a 6 year blond Neapolitan Mastiff male. He is described by his owners as “… big and soft. We have had him since he was a pup. We have had no problems with him health wise and he weight almost 10 stone when we took him for his vaccinations! He has never shown us any aggressive tendencies. He lives in the barn with our Bloodhound. He does come in the house at times.”

Peppy

Peppy is a very gentle 3 year old black and white Collie cross male. If he woofs at you, it is only because he doesn’t understand why he is being looked at by you. He is a very quiet and timid creature and as harmless as a shadow.

rspcaderby_peppy.JPG

He arrived at Derby RSPCA Centre with another dog named Inra (also featured on DogsBlog.com), who is believed to be his brother. They were taken away from a household where there were already too many pets and where they were not being cared for properly.

Peppy is a sweet and friendly dog at heart, but he is rather cautious at the moment because before coming to Derby RSPCA Centre it appears he had seen nothing of the world beyond the house where he used to live.

He had probably never even been taken for a walk and had never had the chance to socialise with other people and dogs, only with his brother Inra, so every new day is a voyage of discovery for him and every walk a major event to be experienced with a mixture of enjoyment and slight apprehension. He is learning swiftly and happily.

Peppy needs a gentle, loving, caring, patient new owner who can give him all the reassurance and understanding he needs to turn him into the happy and confident dog he should be. He might be suitable to live in a household where any children were aged 10+, but a rowdy home would not be the best place for Peppy to find his feet. Everyone in his new home should be sympathetic and firmly on his side.

Peppy is a lovely dog who needs to be surrounded by kind, calm, sensible people who will cherish and nurture him. He could be rehomed with his brother Inra, who is understandably similarly jittery at present, or he could be rehomed on his own. Both dogs really do deserve to have a new start in life with people who love them and who want to give them the very happiest of times.

Inra

Inra is a very timid 3 year old black and grey Collie cross male. If he woofs at you, it is only because he doesn’t understand why he is being looked at by you. Poor Inra has suffered from serious neglect and has understandably become rather wary of human beings as a result.

He arrived at Derby RSPCA Centre with another dog named Peppy, who is believed to be his brother. They were taken away from a household where there were already too many pets and where they were not being cared for at all.

Inra is a sweet and friendly dog at heart, but he is rather cautious and nervous at the moment because before coming to Derby RSPCA Centre it appears he had seen nothing of the world beyond the building where he used to live.

He had probably never even been taken for a walk and had never had the chance to socialise with people and dogs, only with his brother Peppy, so every new day is a voyage of discovery for him and every walk a major event to be experienced with a mixture of astonishment and slight apprehension.

Inra needs a gentle, loving, caring, patient new owner who can give him all the reassurance and understanding he needs to turn him into the happy and confident dog he should be. He might be suitable to live in a quiet, peaceful household where any children were aged 15+, but a rowdy home would not be a good place for Inra to find his feet. Everyone in his new home should be sympathetic and firmly on his side.

Inra is a lovely dog who needs to be surrounded by kind, calm, sensible people who will cherish and nurture him. He really does deserve to have a new start in life with people who love him and who want to give him the very happiest of times.

Could you offer this sweet dog the very special home he needs, with boundless love, compassion and understanding?
